Chapter 333. Blessing
Seeing the snowflakes quietly fluttering down in the dark world, this thought was the first to cross my mind:
*Where did Gaeul go?*
It felt like we’d skipped a season, going straight from summer to winter. Snow in November?
I checked on Seonyoung, who was still asleep, one last time before leaving the room. I headed up to the Rooftop. I wanted to confirm for myself if it was truly snow.
Thud, creak.
Whoosh.
As I opened the rooftop door, a rather cold wind blew in. I immediately stepped out.
*Snow… it really is.*
A small snowflake landed on my bare shoulder. It was cold. This wasn’t ash from something burning; it was real snow. Snow falling from the sky.
“Haaah… Fuck.”
The snow melted instantly upon touching the rooftop floor. The scattered snowflakes weren’t falling too heavily. The temperature wasn’t as cold as midwinter yet, either.
The problem was what lay ahead. Yesterday… no, just a few hours ago, it was still summer. It wasn’t hot enough to drive a person mad, but still, the season had flipped in a matter of hours. I’d have to wait and see for sure, but it felt like midwinter weather would arrive soon.
*Somehow, I feel like it’s going to be as brutally cold as it was hot.*
Habitually, I pulled out a cigarette, put it in my mouth, and fell into thought. Could the seasons really change like flipping a page?
*This isn’t the time to be questioning that.*
Even if I woke up tomorrow and it was midsummer again, there was nothing I could do. All I could do was curse the world for going crazy.
