Chapter 334. Winter
Two more days had passed since Siyoung and I visited the Library.
Today was finally the day we would depart.
Schneider and I had fully recovered during this time. I felt no discomfort, and in fact, I felt healthier than before.
Preparing for the move was not easy. The biggest challenge was sorting the supplies. After much deliberation, we decided to leave behind the long-term preservation foods that could be stored for years. Instead, we prioritized packing the food supplies that would spoil sooner, intending to consume them first.
The supplies we left behind were buried underground. We planned to retrieve them later if needed.
‘If they get looted… well, that’s just how it goes.’
Behind the Church, I spent hours digging alone, creating a deep dugout. Using Euna’s Ability, I reinforced the dugout’s interior and even installed a door. I prepared a locking mechanism, camouflage, and even traps.
If some lunatic were to search through a mountain with nothing in it, and by chance discovered the dugout, and then managed to open the door… wouldn’t that just be their fate?
Aside from sorting supplies, there was a lot of fiddly, time-consuming work. Bringing the Boat from our old Apartment, preparing winter clothes, and packing our personal and communal items. We moved as quickly as possible, pushing our departure date forward.
“But is this really okay?”
“It’s cool.”
“Haaah… Euna. Your sense of aesthetics is a bit… never mind.”
It had only been a few days since the first snow, but the weather had already turned quite cold. I compared my outfit to the winter clothes worn by the rest of the group.
