The next day.
Again, we ate breakfast early and gathered in one place.
Before starting the meeting, I surveyed the faces of the group.
Everyone looked exhausted, except for Seonyoung.
Since the combat with the Company, they hadn’t had a proper rest.
“Everyone’s really tired, aren’t they?”
They replied that they were fine.
We all knew.
Even if it was hard, we had to keep moving.
We couldn’t just leave countless Corpses unattended.
We had to prepare for potential invaders.
On top of that, even basic daily life was difficult.
After the social infrastructure was destroyed, the very acts of eating and defecating had become a chore.
“There’s something important I need to talk about.”
I planned to share Siyoung’s story from last night with everyone.
“Before that, let me talk about something else for a moment.”
I had to tell them that we needed to relocate because of Seonyoung and my soon-to-be-born baby.
And relocation was no easy task.
It would require far more effort than establishing a base here.
So, I decided to stall for time with another topic first.
“Let’s all rest today. Take a bath, and catch up on whatever you’ve put off.”
“Wow~ Really?”
“Yeah. We’ve taken care of all the truly urgent things.”
I looked at Siyoung, confirming again.
Seeing him nod, I looked back at the group.
Small smiles appeared on their tired faces.
“I think we need to leave here as soon as possible.”
