Chapter 298. Pursuit
Less than an hour had passed since they set out.
They had just crested a Hilly Terrain lined with Apartment Complexes on both sides and arrived at a rather large Intersection.
This Intersection was a bit unusual.
One of the four directions extending from the Intersection was occupied by a short, four-lane Bridge. Beneath the Bridge, the remnants of a Stream/river’s waterway flowed, now transformed into a walking path for citizens. And overhead, the Seoul Inner Ring Expressway’s elevated road stretched across.
They stopped on the Bridge, at this peculiar Alleyway.
Because the road on the far side of the long Intersection was overrun by an enormous Zombie horde.
*It looked like the Zombie horde I had driven around yesterday.*
*I thought they would have dispersed naturally, but they were still clustered together as if drawn by some central point.*
“Taesik, what’s the plan?”
“Prepare for combat. It’s too late to run.”
Most of the Zombies were just standing there, growling stupidly. If it were just those kinds, they could have quietly retreated and found another path.
*Mutated Zombies?*
Among the Zombie horde, some were staring directly at him. Four Mutated Zombies looked ready to let out a monstrous cry at any moment.
“We’ll hold our ground on this Bridge. I’ll create some obstacles.”
“Huuu… Alright.”
If he were alone, he could easily escape. But his group couldn’t. They would probably run until their Stamina gave out, only to end up fighting the Zombie horde anyway. In that case, it was better to fight from the start.
