Chapter 183. Monsoon
Swaaah Thud-thud-thud!
I woke up at dawn again today.
As soon as my consciousness returned, the drumming sound of rain hitting the tarp echoed loudly.
I glanced at Euna and Mina, who were sound asleep, then reached for the tent door.
‘Whoa, what the hell?’
The window screen was pitch black.
It wasn’t just the darkness of the early morning; the screen was mottled, as if it had a strange pattern.
A swarm of mosquitoes clung to it, packed tightly together.
They couldn’t get through the fine mesh, but it looked like they were drooling, watching us from outside.
Before unzipping, I shook off as many mosquitoes as I could.
When I flicked the screen hard with my finger, the swarm of mosquitoes buzzed away.
It was a truly disgusting sight to start the morning.
Tick, Chiiiik.
I relieved myself, stretched, and after completing my routine, I pulled out a cigarette I hadn’t smoked yesterday.
I looked at the Map, contemplating which route to take.
There were two options.
One was to take a less-traveled path and make a wide detour north around Namyangju City. This would allow us to enter Seoul directly without passing through Guri City, but it would waste a lot of Movement Path.
The second was to head southwest from here and cut straight through Guri City. This option was, of course, shorter in distance.
The problem was the high possibility that the Ark Faction members were still rampant in Guri City. I wasn’t sure if they knew my appearance, but regardless, I felt certain we’d clash if we ran into them.
