Chapter 182. Monsoon
After our intimate moment and shower, it was Mina’s turn.
She, too, had sweated a lot, and we had plenty of water saved up.
“Don’t worry, Schneider is right beside you.”
“Okay… What if that cat…?”
“Don’t worry about that either. They’re a smart one.”
I meant to reassure her, but from her perspective, it probably sounded like, ‘My dog doesn’t bite.’ Still, it was true that Schneider’s presence brought a sense of security.
“They seem like it…”
Mina replied, looking at my face. She hadn’t been able to meet my gaze properly when she first came out of the tent, but it seemed she was fine now. She also seemed to have quickly adjusted to seeing me with my bare torso and short shorts.
At first, I’d considered dressing properly out of consideration for her, but I decided to just stay comfortable as usual. There was no need to worry about her feelings, and manners weren’t that important anymore.
“Then I’ll head inside.”
“Yes. Thank you.”
I closed the tent flap and stepped inside. Euna was fighting a losing battle against the mosquitoes, her face a picture of misery.
“These mosquito bastards!”
“Why didn’t you close the window screen?”
“Huh? Oh, right?”
Euna had left the tent flap on the opposite side from where I entered wide open. I quickly zipped up the window screen and started swatting mosquitoes.
“No wonder there were more and more of them!”
“Wow, look how swollen your leg is. Let’s put some ointment on it first.”
Euna’s legs were covered in red welts. Her fair skin made the mosquito bites stand out even more.
