Chapter 170. Dambi
To my eyes, Schneider’s injury looked quite severe. It was like a chunk of flesh had been torn from their hip, if you were to compare it to a human. I had planned to postpone all other tasks and focus entirely on treating and caring for them.
“Meow. Grrr.”
“Alright. I’m going, I’m going. Just a moment.”
But Schneider was tough. As soon as the emergency treatment was done, they stood up from where they were sitting and urged me on. Their eyes blazed with fury.
“Euna. Phew…”
“I’ll stay quiet as a mouse inside the house. Don’t worry and go.”
“Yeah. Thanks.”
“Oh, and I’ll get a few things for you.”
Euna went inside the house. Leaving her alone in the house made me a little uneasy, but she was a smart kid, so I decided to trust her. Besides, taking her into the mountains at such a dark hour seemed even more dangerous.
“Oppa. Here.”
“Thanks. So the day has come to use these.”
“Yeah. Be careful. Don’t come back hurt.”
“Got it. I’ll be back. Go on in.”
A moment later, Euna emerged from the house with a few tools: a transparent Shield, a Throwing Net, and a long Capture Pole. All of them had been enhanced by Euna’s Ability.
The Capture Pole was a long staff with a bifurcated tip. In fact, these tools were all made for capturing wild animals alive. I had used them quite effectively when catching chickens last time. While I wasn’t planning to capture a marten alive to raise it, I accepted the tools, thinking they would be helpful in combat.
