Chapter 106. Raid
After finishing the fight with the gang of men, I pondered my next move. Should I get back on National Road 6, or stick to smaller paths?
Taking the main road would likely lead to more human attacks. Or perhaps people begging for supplies.
‘I’d rather deal with zombies.’
So, I pulled out my Map and decided to take the smaller roads. I figured moving between buildings would draw less Aggro.
As expected, the smaller paths were crawling with Zombies. Narrow alleyways, in particular, were almost guaranteed to have them. The sounds the Zombies made attracted others nearby. Still, as long as they weren’t Special Zombies, there was no real problem.
I’d walk for about five minutes, then stop, sometimes not even ten steps, before stopping again. That’s how I slowly made my way, constantly held up by Zombies.
[Han & Lee Math Academy]
The sun was high in the sky. To escape the scorching midday heat, I entered the academy building. I appeased my hunger with an Energy Bar and a little water, then sat on a Sofa to rest my eyes for a bit. I wasn’t asleep, but the feeling of my head baking in the sun made me want to simply relax.
Rustle.
After about thirty minutes of resting, a pair of Robbers, a man and a woman, approached. Shards of glass scattered across the floor, perhaps from a broken glass door, acted as an alarm. Even without it, I would have sensed their presence.
‘So… how should I conduct the Interrogation?’
I tossed the woman, whom I’d dragged in like a sack of luggage, next to the man. Glass shards were embedded in her face, drawing blood, but I decided not to care. Both the man and the woman were just attackers who had tried to kill me.
