Chapter 33
Frank poured every ounce of his will into clinging to his fading consciousness.
‘If I take another hit like this, it’s over.’
As he barely managed to steady his vision and look ahead…
“Is that all?”
Khal stood there, a look of disappointment written across his face.
“Don’t you mock me!”
‘That last blow was just a fluke. Now, I’m going to kill him, and I won’t hold back!’
A dark energy began to coil.
Frank, his sword shrouded in Aura, lunged at Khal with desperate speed.
Without a moment’s hesitation, he swung his blade toward Khal’s throat.
However, Khal twisted his body, evading the sword by a hair’s breadth before spinning and striking Frank squarely in the knee.
Crack!
With the sickening sound of bone fracturing, Frank dropped to one knee.
“Wh-what?!”
“Don’t speak. You’ll bite your tongue.”
Boom!
Khal drove his palm upward into the bewildered Frank’s jaw.
Because he hadn’t heeded the advice, Frank bit his tongue, and a spray of blood erupted from his mouth.
Yet, he did not lose his momentum. He thrust his sword toward Khal’s neck as the latter closed the distance.
Clang!
Khal dealt with it easily, imbuing his fist with Mana and striking the flat of the blade.
It was Frank who suffered the counter-blow.
The massive vibration traveling through the sword caused him to lose his grip entirely.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Khal’s fists began a concentrated assault on Frank’s face.
‘Who the hell is this guy?’
Thud! Crack!
His nasal bone shattered, and his face began to cave in.
‘Why… why am I being overwhelmed by this brat? It makes no sense. He doesn’t even have a sword, so why am I—?’
