Chapter 137
While heading toward the city, Jake asked a question out of sudden curiosity.
“I understand that one must know a specific code to use the Freemason. How do you plan on doing that?”
The Freemason.
It was a massive financial guild harboring an enormous amount of black money, and the guild members protecting it were all fearsomely powerful.
Furthermore, they were notorious for their cruelty; if the guild was ever robbed, all members would be mobilized to ensure the perpetrator paid back even more than what was taken.
They would inflict ruthless retribution on anyone who ignored the rules they established.
“VIPs aren’t bound by such regulations,” Kalliant replied.
“What?”
Jake asked back, clearly surprised by Kalliant’s answer.
However, Kalliant wordlessly entered the shop named Liberty Shop, which Pango had told him about.
“Welcome. What are you looking for today?”
Jake looked around at the friendly greeting from the shopkeeper.
‘I have no idea what they even sell here.’
The structure of the Liberty Shop made it impossible to tell what products were being sold.
This was because the area they were in was situated between a series of doors.
“I’m here to use the bank.”
Kalliant showed the clerk the Seal of Menos Tempel that Pon had handed him previously.
Swish.
Recognizing the object, the clerk stared sharply at the seal before speaking.
“You’ve come to use the bank. This way, please.”
He pointed toward a space between the doors.
“What kind of place is…”
Just as Jake was about to complain with a bewildered expression.
