Chapter 136
Dash!
“Arghhhhh!”
Jake was sprinting down the slope so hard his ankles felt like they would snap, screaming at the top of his lungs.
Roar!
The cause of his screams was a giant wild bear chasing right behind him.
Perhaps it had just woken up from hibernation, for it was ravenously drooling and radiating a savage, ferocious aura.
“Save me, Commander!”
Khal was poking at a campfire with a fire stick at the spot where Jake was desperately running toward.
“Catch it. He’s much weaker than the ones living in Altair.”
At Khal’s cold remark, Jake shouted back in disbelief.
“That is a bear! I am just a low-level administrator!”
“You’re a Combat Administrator.”
“Correcting me is pointless! Oof!”
After letting out a desperate cry, Jake fell flat on his face on the ground.
Roar!
Seizing the opportunity, the wild bear’s heavy paw descended toward Jake’s back.
‘D-damn it!’
Sensing his end, Jake trembled as he watched the ferocious beast’s movements.
Crash!
At that moment, Khal’s fist, appearing out of nowhere, connected squarely with the bear’s face.
Grrr?
The bear, its teeth shattered and falling out, stared at Khal with an incredulous gaze before…
Slump!
Thud!
Blood poured from its mouth and head as it met its end.
“Y-you took down a bear with your bare hands!”
Jake stared at Khal with an expression of pure shock at the miraculous sight.
But the words that came out of Khal’s mouth next were even more absurd.
“I see you didn’t close your eyes; you have talent. A little more practice and you’ll be able to catch one yourself.”
