Chapter 91. Wound
Memories from last week surfaced.
I was having lunch, listening to the women talk.
“Yejin, what about you?”
“I’m an INFJ.”
“Oh, really? I thought you’d be a P.”
What was I again?
I’d taken the self-assessment, but I couldn’t quite remember.
After finishing our meal, Yejin and I went out to organize the apartment.
As we climbed together, physical contact was inevitable.
*Flinc!*
“I’m sorry…”
Yejin flinched at my touch, her shoulders hunching.
It seemed she was still very afraid of men.
At first glance, she appeared timid and easily scared.
But anyone who knew what Yejin had been through wouldn’t think that.
Her body and mind were covered in scars.
That’s why Hana and the other Raid Members had been so considerate of her.
They probably felt more empathy because they carried similar wounds.
And Yejin, too, had bravely stepped forward to develop her abilities and move on.
Even before her wounds had fully healed, she had reached out to me for help.
“Thank you so much for saving all of us and helping us like this, Raid Leader.”
I wanted to help her, even as she forced herself to meet my gaze.
And so, she was becoming not a burden, but our comrade.
“Aaah! Raid Leader…”
*Crunch!*
Yejin’s scream snapped my consciousness back to the cold reality.
After killing Assistant Manager Jeon, I turned around to check the Barrier.
Seonyoung and Gayoung were struggling to hold back the Mutated Zombie that had climbed onto the Barrier.
The creature finally shattered Seonyoung’s thick Shield and lunged at Hana, who was closest.
