Chapter 90. Wound
After finishing my cigarette, I hoisted Sujin onto my back again.
Sujin used the Rope to secure herself and activated her Mapping Ability. This time, we headed towards Sangsan Elementary School in Zone C. I hadn’t found any large Zombie hordes in Zone A or Zone B. Even the J Broadcasting Station Building reportedly had only a few Zombies left. I had no idea where the rest of them had gone.
‘I definitely saw quite a few last time…’
With that lingering question, I moved into Zone C. After a wide detour, we approached Sangsan Elementary School. I ignored all the scattered Zombies we saw and just ran. From the Rooftop of a building near the school, I scanned the School grounds, but not a single Zombie was in sight.
“Raid Leader!”
Just as I was thinking how strange it was, Sujin woke up.
“There aren’t any Zombie hordes at Sangsan Middle School either.”
“Really? That can’t be right… What about Survivors?”
“I’m picking up individuals, but no groups of two or more.”
Feeling uneasy, I entered the School grounds. Almost all the windows in the building were shattered. Bloodstains splattered across the stands and sandy areas of the School grounds, and one of the soccer goals lay toppled. The desolate, deserted school exuded a grim atmosphere.
“Should we go further, past this zone?”
“Perhaps. It’s clear they moved as a group.”
After a brief discussion, we decided to search this area first. There might be a small clue left behind.
