I brought the guy who’d fainted on the street into the cool Ice Cream Shop.
I had him sit quietly on a chair while I picked out some ice cream.
I figured it wouldn’t matter if he tried anything, so I untied him.
He didn’t seem like a bad guy, just a feeling.
Not long after I picked out the ice cream, Deok-hun woke up.
“Hey. You awake?”
“H-huh!”
*Thud!*
What’s wrong with him?
His reaction isn’t what you’d expect from a man.
He fell off the chair the moment he saw my face, then quickly got up and eyed me warily.
I just watched him, silently eating my ice cream, until he eventually approached and sat down opposite me.
“Want some too? My treat.”
“Ha… ha… ha… ha… ha… Thank you.”
Deok-hun laughed fakely, cautiously surveying the ice cream display.
He kept glancing around, clearly uncomfortable with the situation.
“Alright, how about we have a proper chat now? Don’t be too nervous. Oh, and since I’m more than ten years older than you, please use polite language.”
“H-huh?! Really? This one simply cannot believe it…”
“What do you mean, ‘cannot believe it’? What’s with this guy’s way of speaking?”
“Ah, oops… My apologies. It’s just a habit of mine to talk to myself.”
I wondered what his speech pattern had to do with talking to himself.
“I’m Kim Taesik. 34 years old. I’d appreciate it if you could tell me what happened while you eat comfortably. Then I’ll share what I know too.”
