Chapter 73. Yuwol
The house was blessed with ample sunlight.
Gayoung’s skin glowed a pristine white under the sunlight streaming through the living room window. Despite her bold, approaching footsteps, her face was flushed crimson, as if shyness had finally caught up to her.
“Mister…”
“…”
Dressed only in white underwear, she twisted strands of her own hair. Her long, black hair, which had somehow come undone, flowed freely. Her dark eyes sparkled with a black sheen. Her skin, appearing even whiter in contrast.
“My clothes are all wet. Mister, you know…”
“…?”
The shyness that had colored her face vanished, replaced by a provocative expression as Gayoung spoke. I looked into her eyes, a question in my own.
“Am I not good enough? Am I too skinny, or something…?”
At this point, I had to make my stance clear. I pulled Gayoung into my arms. Her slender body fit perfectly within my embrace. She was a small girl, her head barely reaching my chest. Her small, youthful appearance made me treat her like a child, but she was, by all accounts, an adult. Now, she was clearly approaching me as a woman, seeking an answer.
“You’re beautiful. Why wouldn’t you be good enough?”
“Hngh…”
My single remark made her burst into tears once more. *She’s cried so much today.*
“I was so scared. What if I woke up and Mister was gone…?”
“Huh? What are you talking about?”
“Mister and Unnie, at first… hngh… you said you had to leave… *sniffle*.”
