Chapter 63. Mutation
“Gayoung, are you really going to be okay? Sujin can just walk, and we can be a bit more careful.”
“I’m truly fine. Besides, using my Mapping Ability is much more efficient, isn’t it?”
They were about to begin their afternoon transport run, having waited out the hottest part of the day.
Gayoung, who hadn’t fully recovered her strength, had insisted on walking when they tried to seat her in the Bungeoppang Cart.
Since she was so adamant about being fine, they agreed she would speak up if she felt even a little tired, and then they left the Apartment.
“Wait here for a moment. Let’s set up a Bunker before we go. Form a perimeter.”
After the morning’s ambush, they had decided to establish Bunkers at various points along the road.
With numerous abandoned cars lining the streets, creating Bunkers posed no problem.
Gayoung marked locations on her Tablet, while Seonyoung recorded them on the Zombie Map I had initially created.
The perimeter formation was simply a circular arrangement where they stood, each covering a specific direction, with their fields of vision slightly overlapping to ensure 360-degree vigilance.
“Sora, I’m done. Take this and mark it.”
“Yes, Unnie, thank you.”
The Zombie Map I had started now had copies.
Some used Tablets, while others, like me, printed paper maps to fill in.
*Thump, thump.*
They moved nearly a dozen cars, positioning them to create a Bunker with two narrow paths facing each other.
It wasn’t a two-tiered bottleneck like the first Bunker they’d built, but this setup seemed like it could serve as an emergency fallback, no matter which direction the Zombies attacked from.
