Chapter 54. Preparation
“Hello? Can you hear us?”
“Seonyoung, first, take out whatever’s in her mouth.”
After checking the entire room, Seonyoung sat beside the woman tied to the bed and carefully woke her up.
The bound woman was naked, her limbs completely restrained. Her hands and feet had turned purple and were swollen from how long the blood circulation had been cut off.
“Hello? Please try to regain consciousness.”
“Ugh… H-hic! P-please… save me. Stop…”
As Seonyoung peeled off the tape covering the woman’s mouth, a rolled-up piece of cloth was revealed, stuffed inside.
Seonyoung forced it out with her fingers, discovering it was a pair of white women’s panties.
She avoided touching any other part of the woman, gently shaking her shoulder to wake her. Soon, the woman regained consciousness and responded.
She pleaded in a small voice. Though conscious, she didn’t seem to grasp the situation, her words sounding like a reflexive plea.
Her lips were parched and dry, and her voice cracked with every word.
“Unnie, here’s some water.”
Gulp, gulp.
Seonyoung carefully held the water to her lips and helped her drink.
It seemed even drinking was difficult; she managed only two sips with great effort before pulling away.
“I know you’re in a lot of pain right now, but if you’ve regained consciousness, please answer my questions first. That’s the only way we can help you.”
When I, standing behind them, spoke, the woman looked my way and nodded.
*Thank goodness.*
Her eyes had regained focus, and she truly seemed to be back to her senses.
