Chapter 376. Runaway
“Oppa! Are you okay?”
I’d had a terrible nightmare.
It was a dream where Seonyoung gave birth to a Mutant and killed our group members. I could only watch helplessly.
“Yeah. Just had a nightmare.”
Seonyoung stroked my forehead. Her touch was familiar and warm.
“Look at all this sweat. So you have nightmares too, Oppa.”
“Sometimes. But today, I think it’s because of you.”
“Huh? Oh… Hehe. How did you know?”
Seonyoung laughed, looking embarrassed. When I vaguely woke up from the dream, I felt her arm resting on my chest.
Seonyoung had told me something before: that if your chest is pressed, you might have nightmares. It sounded strange at the time, but it might be true. The nightmare I had today was so vivid and terrible.
“It’s okay, go back to sleep.”
“Okay.”
I was scared. The dream I just had was too terrifying. That’s why I felt even more relieved. Seonyoung’s hand stroking my face was the same as before. And there was no Mutant in reality that looked exactly like me. I wanted to hold Seonyoung’s hand and confirm countless times that this was reality, but I held back. I closed my eyes as if nothing had happened.
‘Sleep… won’t come.’
Seonyoung turned over and took my hand. Just like when we fell asleep together last night, I hugged her from behind and gently caressed her swollen belly.
All day, I’d been thinking similar thoughts: Seonyoung, pregnancy, baby, and Mutants. That was probably why I’d had such a nightmare. Yet, I found myself thinking the same thoughts again. That our child would be born healthy and see the light of day. No… or maybe I should prepare myself, as Seonyoung might also give birth to a Mutant. And even if Seonyoung gave birth to a Mutant, she wouldn’t act like Lee Eunbyeol.
