Chapter 335. Winter
‘Something feels off.’
I chided Schneider, who was feigning ignorance, but only for a moment. As I looked at the space where various crops were growing, I felt something strange.
Originally, it should have been an Asphalt Parking Lot. Someone must have brought in Dirt to fill the empty lot and then farmed on it. It was clearly man-made.
‘Ah! Unbelievable.’
The source of the strange feeling was the size of the crops. The Radish Schneider had brought back was a fresh, ordinary Radish. However, the Radishes buried in the Dirt below had unusually large leaves. Only their tops peeked out from the Dirt, but even so, their size was evident from how thick they were. Even the one Schneider brought was thick, but the Radishes buried in the field looked abnormally large.
‘Looks like they worked hard to haul all that dirt.’
And the height of the piled Dirt was also extraordinary. The first floor of the Villa was almost entirely buried under the Pile of Dirt. That made it even stranger. Buildings connected in a ‘ㄷ’ shape blocked three sides, but the south side was open. The owner of this Farmland had blocked the open side with Cars and flimsy planks. The weight of the soil must be immense; I couldn’t understand why it hadn’t collapsed.
“Meow.”
“Hold on… let me think for a moment.”
While I was lost in thought, Schneider yawned languidly and then lay down, as if they couldn’t understand why I was pondering when we could just take it.
“Just taking it would be Theft.”
