Chapter 323. Karma
It was still the dark hours of dawn.
I quietly rose from my spot and stepped out of the building.
The temperature had dropped again overnight.
It felt like summer would never end, so this was a relief.
At this temperature, Euna should be fine wearing her enchanted clothes.
As I looked up at the stars embedded in the night sky, Schneider approached.
“Schneider. Did you get some sleep?”
“Grrr… Purrrr.”
“Can you see the sky? There are so many stars.”
Standing side by side with him, I quietly admired the night sky.
I had the illusion that the countless stars, densely scattered across the sky, were about to pour down on me.
It was a sight I’d seen many times since the world changed, but it was still wondrous.
“Taesik.”
“Huh? Why are you up already?”
“We should start getting ready too. I need to feed you breakfast.”
It was Mina who woke me from my daze, enchanted by the magic of the night sky.
Mina had a blanket draped over her shoulders and held Schneider’s meal in both hands.
“See you in a bit.”
“Nyaang.”
After scratching Schneider’s chin, I followed Mina into the building.
Mina led me to a small room that looked like an office.
*Click, whoosh*
“I cleaned everything yesterday. Please, have a seat.”
“Oh? What’s this room?”
“Just… I thought we might need a separate space.”
As she lit the lantern with a match, a warm, yellow glow gently spread through the room.
