Chapter 283. Contamination
Things rarely go according to plan.
It was the same in the past.
And even more so after the world changed.
Now, it’s almost more unsettling when there *isn’t* an unexpected variable.
We had sought refuge in an Apartment, escaping the heat and stench. But there, we were held back by a skin disease that afflicted one of our group.
Ultimately, our plan to reach the Han River by morning fell through.
“I’m back.”
“How was it?”
“Just a few Zombies.”
I had finished checking the Apartment rooftop. We needed to stay here at least until Mina could use her Ability.
Perhaps even longer.
There was no guarantee that drinking her breast milk would immediately alleviate the rash.
“What Trait should I use when I activate my Ability later?”
“Antibody or Purification?”
“Yeah. There are five of us. I don’t even know how much each of us needs to drink for it to be effective.”
“Hmm… Let’s leave me out for now. Four of us will share it…”
After discussing it, we decided to produce breast milk using Purification first.
Purification felt more like a post-treatment than Antibody.
“This time, produce as much as your Ability allows.”
“Okay. Then four of us should be able to drink our fill.”
“Hopefully, the rash will subside, but if it doesn’t, we’ll just have to increase my Possession.”
It was a grind, after all.
We decided to prioritize increasing Mina’s Possession through Zombie Hunting.
