This was an incident that occurred previously, during the escape from Guri with Euna, after clashing with the Ark Faction.
After leaving Guri and entering Namyangju, a pursuit team organized by the Ark Faction came after us. It was the same pursuit team that the deceased Hyeji had belonged to, and we clashed with them by the Han River bank. At the time, the Ark’s pursuit team had been ambushed by a Wild Dog Pack. Thanks to that, we were able to easily deal with all of them, seizing an unexpected advantage. And in the process, I remember throwing one of them into the river water.
The sight I witnessed when the man I threw fell into the river water is still unforgettable.

A colossal Monster had burst from the river, swallowing the man whole in a single gulp. What I saw was only the Monster’s head (of fish) and a portion of its body, emerging from the water surface. Nevertheless, I could tell that the fish monster’s size was far greater than that of the Monster Wild Boar I had fought in Seoul.
The Black shadow that now loomed over us was precisely such a fish monster.

The Black shadow charged towards the boat at high speed. As the distance closed, the Monster finally revealed itself from the water surface. It burst forth, its enormous maw gaping wide. The Monster’s maw was packed with sharp, massive teeth, making one wonder if they truly belonged to a fish. That maw grazed past the stern of our boat, a hair’s breadth from impact. We had barely managed to evade the fish monster’s charge.
