Chapter 113. Rescue
Drrr-drrr-drrr. Thud, thud.
Dawn was breaking soon.
He was pushing a handcart, walking through the streets.
The surrounding landscape was bathed in the pale light of pre-dawn.
‘Ah… this doesn’t feel right.’
He wasn’t sure if he was on the right path. He had strayed from the most efficient route to his destination. Yet, his heart told him this was the correct way. Though off course, he followed the path he believed was right, recalling the conversation before he set out.
‘Yujin. You know that neighborhood nearby, with the old detached houses mixed with villas?’
‘Yes. Towards Baek Hospital?’
‘Yeah. Don’t go farming there. There are Mutated Zombies, and a ton of Normal Zombies too.’
‘Ah… Oppa, you came from that direction, didn’t you? You managed to get through safely.’
After finishing breakfast with Yujin, he shared some food and water with her, then gave his warning. She packed some odds and ends from her house, like a pen, a notebook, and spray shampoo, then saw him off.
‘Oppa. Not that way. You should go the other direction.’
‘This way is right for me. Don’t worry, go inside.’
‘What? You said there might be a Mutated Zombie faction there.’
‘Yeah. So don’t come this way. Got it?’
‘Okay… I don’t know why, but please be careful. I hope we can meet again.’
He said goodbye to A-cup Yujin, who watched him from the balcony. Just like when he first saw her, she wasn’t wearing underwear, and as she leaned against the railing and waved, a glimpse of her bare skin showed through her clothes.
