Chapter 147 A Clue for What’s Next
Namgung-woo’s body was still in a terrible state, even though his mind had cleared.
What Namgung-woo had seen was, after all, his future self. While his body was recovering at an incredibly fast rate—so fast that even Namgung-woo found it hard to believe—it was still far from being completely fine.
It was difficult even to sit up, yet Namgung-woo’s first priority was to check the war situation.
“The Ghost Gate…?”
He had killed the Ghost Gate Lord of the Black Ghost Gate, and Pung Hyeon, who was presumed to be the one who had intentionally opened it.
All that remained was to push through the Demonic Beasts pouring out of the Ghost Gate and close it.
However, there was no one suitable to perform that task. The higher the grade of a Ghost Gate, the greater its durability. To destroy the Black Ghost Gate with only a Peak Transcendence Master’s Sword Qi would likely take an entire day, if not more.
Yi Ho-yeong was the only one who might have been capable, but he too had expended a great deal of Internal Energy fighting up to this point.
Given that Namgung-woo was effectively out of the joint effort, the fact that only two people had died while pushing through the calamity of the Black Ghost Gate was largely thanks to Yi Ho-yeong’s significant contribution.
If Myorin, Hwaseo, and Zhuge Seon-a hadn’t succeeded in a One-Shot Reversal by unleashing the Resplendent Dragon’s Roar, there would have been far more casualties than Yi Ho-yeong could have possibly covered.
