Chapter 113 Tracking
Beyond the Martial Alliance grounds, where Peng Ja-ryeong and Zhuge Hyul had departed, another ally awaited Namgung-woo.
“Guess I didn’t need to step in after all.”
Yi Ho-yeong grinned, approaching with his usual easygoing demeanor.
“I can roughly guess what happened. I heard the news.”
“The Martial Alliance must have tried to control the spread of information.”
“My connections run pretty deep, you see.”
Peng Ja-ryeong immediately understood Yi Ho-yeong’s reply. It was certainly plausible for the Yellow Dragon Tiger.
“Anyway, I told the Azure Sky Unit members that everything was fine. Though, even if I hadn’t said anything, they all seemed perfectly alright. You must be quite trusted, huh?”
“That’s because my backing is so solid.”
Namgung-woo replied, mimicking Yi Ho-yeong’s tone, and subtly glanced at Peng Ha-ryeong and Zhuge Seon-a.
“Pfft! You’re right. Who would dare touch them?”
With Yi Ho-yeong joining, the group of four immediately returned to the Changmu Inn.
Entering the private annex amidst a warm welcome, Namgung-woo immediately explained the events that had transpired at the Martial Alliance. He omitted the detail that the assassinated individual was a Martial Alliance Elder, as requested by the Martial Alliance, and instead emphasized that the culprit was presumed to be someone with an Aura similar to Yi Ja-ryong’s.
“So, I’ve been tasked with tracking down that culprit.”
