Chapter 73: Die or Freeze 2
The Sword Master surveyed the surroundings.
The gathered faces bore expressions he had never once seen before. He was finally wearing the look they had so desperately wanted to see on him. In that instant, the smile that had never left the Sword Master’s face froze stiff. His pride and self-respect, which had always sustained him, seemed to scream at him to say something, anything.
The Sword Master turned to look at Baek Moo-jin and said.
“I understand you are strong. But this is war. Thousands of men…”
In that instant, Baek Moo-jin stepped toward the Sword Master and reached out his hand.
Simultaneously, the Sword Master tried to draw his sword.
But before even a finger’s length of blade emerged, a sharp click sounded, and the Sword Master froze in the posture of drawing his sword. As the Sword Master was attacked, the Sword Sect disciples rose as one.
Instead, Baek Moo-jin thrust his left foot into the ground and leaped toward the densely packed Hwigeom disciples.
Some drew swords, some charged forward, some threw punches at the approaching Baek Moo-jin, and some reached out to grab chairs to hurl.
Yet the only sound echoing through the first floor was the crisp, sharp clanging Baek Moo-jin produced.
Thud-thud-thud-thud!
Baek Moo-jin’s index and middle fingers tapped each disciple’s shoulder, arm, or back of the hand without hesitation. Meanwhile, his body spun rapidly, weaving through the crowd of disciples.
Thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud!
