Chapter 197: Dragon’s Stride, Tiger’s Pace
Solitary Moon Mountain Villa.
Corpses littered the ground everywhere.
The Solitary Moon Mountain Lodge was a band of outlaws who, deeming the timing unfavorable for overt operations, had established their base to primarily ambush couriers crossing the mountain paths. Their methods were brutal. Useless items were burned in the incinerator, and the corpses were tossed off the cliffs.
Now, every member of the Lonely Moon Mountain Lodge lay dead. Though a messenger bird had flown to nearby allied forces immediately after the attack, annihilation could not be avoided.
From that very gate, the man who had raided the Gowol Mountain Lodge emerged.
His expressionless face watched as he scrubbed bloodstained shoes against the floor. His once-white robe had turned ash-gray with accumulated dust over the years.
His overall shabby attire made him look like a middle-aged ronin.
His long, half-gray hair was tied back, and he possessed such an unusual appearance that his age was utterly impossible to guess. To the untrained eye, he might appear in his thirties, yet the wrinkles etched by time suggested he could be in his forties or fifties. Up close, he was a handsome man, notable for his straight nose and bushy eyebrows.
Yet his expression was utterly gloomy.
The man stared blankly for a moment at the Gowol Mountain Lodge he had just destroyed.
Hanging from his back was a thin, black long sword he had never drawn at the Gowol Mountain Lodge.
Having done this countless times before, he felt no emotional disturbance.
