Mukseon finished his report and went to see the Demon Lord.
Mukseon had the authority to meet privately with the leader, and because of that privilege, he felt he must never deceive the leader about even the smallest matter.
He intended to report everything: today’s visit from the Asura King, and even the fact that he had written his own alias to capture Baek Moo-jin.
When Mokseon appeared at the place where the leader resided, the attendants instinctively guided him.
“He is bathing.”
“Then I’ll come back later.”
“He instructed that you be brought to him wherever he is.”
“Hmm… Lead the way.”
Moksun followed the attendants toward the rear courtyard. The master bathed in a place where the Dragon Pond had been converted into a bathing area. What made Moksun uncomfortable was that the women attending him were all naked. It was terribly awkward to look at these women, not a thread covering them, as they served him.
The young man soaking in the pool spoke the moment he saw Moksun.
“Welcome.”
“I greet you, Lord.”
“I’ve been waiting.”
Mahon Jongju spoke this way regardless of rank. Mokseon replied respectfully.
“My apologies.”
“There’s no need to apologize. You always come to tell us interesting stories, Moksun.”
Outside, no one could have imagined the Demon Lord was this young.
His skin seemed to defy aging, his long hair resembled a woman’s, and his flawless face was beyond reproach. Had he concealed his identity as the Demon Lord and ventured into the martial world, he would have become famous solely for his looks.
