Chapter 151
“Prince Edward of Dulles.”
High-ranking assassins of the Shadow Court surrounded him from all sides. But it was never to guard against Edward. Quite the opposite.
“Now then, Saxony’s ‘Black Prince’……!”
Edward opened his mouth with great effort, his voice trembling violently. Even the act of calling out Dale’s name seemed beyond his control, utterly precarious.
“Hey, hey, that’s not what we agreed on!”
“Did you say promise?”
“After driving out those church bastards, my property…!”
Before Dale, there was no trace of the demonic figure that had been rampaging like a madman moments before, slaughtering the priests of the cathedral. Instead, there was only a ‘puppet’ desperately struggling as if resisting invisible strings.
“The property of Prince Edward?”
Dale sneered coldly.
“You colluded with certain merchants in the Guild District and spearheaded the city’s ‘magic stone and artifact laundering business’ to pocket commissions. And as if that weren’t enough, as the leader of the adventurer faction, you controlled hunting grounds within the labyrinth and schemed day and night on how to swallow this city whole, didn’t you?”
Edward’s lips trembled at Dale’s words. Seeing this, Dale smiled coldly.
“Ah, please do keep your mouth shut. I haven’t finished speaking yet.”
An invisible thread existed in Dale’s hand, and the being before Dale was nothing more than a puppet controlled by that very thread.
