Chapter 73: The Serene Fairy Stands Against the Wind
Youlan Valley is a secluded, wild place, located a full twenty-five miles east of White Crystal City.
Though a secluded place, it is by no means sparsely populated; on the contrary, it is an extremely famous location.
A mountain need not be high; if there is a fairy, it becomes famous. A river need not be deep; if there is a dragon, it becomes magical. Here, there is water—clear enough to see the bottom, winding for five or six miles, the clearest and sweetest spring in the mountains. And here, there is also a fairy, the very one who makes Youlan Valley famous: the Medical Fairy, Lu Zihan.
Not all children of prominent families are interested in family matters, and Lu Zihan is one such person.
She studied under the Medical Saint Bai Bo and successively attended the Mei Chang Palace and the Orchid Waterside Pavilion among the four great academies, but in neither case did she stay for even a year before dropping out and leaving.
“The teachers there are indeed learned, but they are not what Zihan seeks.”
Lu Zihan told the head of the Lu Clan just that, then set off alone to roam the jianghu.
The jianghu contains notorious villains, as well as righteous heroes with warm hearts.
In Lu Zihan’s view, both are idiots; the former pursues their goals with methods far too base, lacking any sophistication, while the latter risks their life for others and will sooner or later throw away their golden years.
She stands between the two, causing villains to admire her and heroes to be enraged.
