Chapter 95
A smirk played on his lips.
‘So, he’s going to handle the cleanup properly.’
Earlier, he had been quite irritated by the insults—being called a mad dog or a dangerous man—but sensing that the work would proceed smoothly, Kalliant’s lips curled into a smirk as if he had never been bothered at all.
On the other hand, Leonard was quite taken aback.
‘What did I just hear? Keep my mouth shut and process it quickly as ordered?’
He did not doubt for a moment that the handwriting on the official document belonged to Vegenue.
‘To think that Vegenue Promes would back someone this much.’
Despite having worked with him for decades, Leonard had never seen Vegenue place such deep trust in anyone. Vegenue was a man who was prudent in all matters; while he respected Leonard’s opinions, he would firmly draw the line if something seemed reckless considering the merchant group’s management policy.
In fact, Vegenue had flatly rejected Leonard’s suggestion to venture into the finance industry before.
Leonard looked at Kalliant with a slightly jealous gaze and thought, ‘I thought he was just an arrogant and haughty young noble, but is there something more to him?’
Doubts were overflowing.
Regardless, the great Vegenue had certified this man’s value with an official document. If so, there was only one stance for Leonard to take from now on.
Leonard set aside his personal thoughts, took off his beret, and bowed politely.
“I apologize for the delay and for the various inconveniences caused. Kalliant, what business brings you to the Promes Merchant Group?”
