Chapter 90
The elf village in Paradis was nestled among towering mountains and lush greenery.
Formed around a clear, azure lake, the village was perfectly hidden and boasted a magnificent view.
At the home of the Elf elder, Erva.
“Kwahahaha! Long time no see, Erva!”
Having arrived at the house, Schmidt burst into a hearty laugh as he approached the silver-haired male elf.
“Hahaha. You’ve grown a beard; you look quite like an adult now.”
Erva welcomed Schmidt warmly, pulling him into an embrace.
‘To the naked eye, Schmidt looks much older, though.’
Khal found it hard to adjust to the sight of Erva treating Schmidt like a child. Noticing Khal’s gaze, Erva smiled broadly and spoke.
“I am 770 years old.”
“Is that so?”
Khal gave a stoic response, but he couldn’t help showing a slight flicker of surprise at having his inner thoughts read so easily.
Erva chuckled softly before speaking again.
“When you reach this age, the only thing that truly increases is your ability to read others. Regardless, I heard that you threatened our children to see me.”
‘I see.’
The elder’s tone was gentle, yet it carried a subtle edge. Rather than feeling offended, Khal was impressed once more by Erva’s seasoned composure.
If Ludger Stark was majestic and imposing, Erva possessed the relaxed nature of a reed that could let a typhoon pass over it—resilient and impossible to break easily. This man already possessed the virtues that Khal, currently undergoing rehabilitation, needed.
