Chapter 130
“Wh-what kind of nonsense are you spouting?”
Lactia Stark was visibly flustered, and Kalliant Stark simply shrugged his shoulders at her.
“Since poisoning him right in front of Father would be reckless, you must have used a poison that takes time to manifest. For instance, Burlone, which takes over half a day to show its effects.”
“W-what nonsense is that?!”
Burlone.
It was a type of poison Kalliant had been exposed to during his time in Altair. Fortunately, he had survived because he had only ingested a very small amount.
‘Based on his diary, that must have been when he became obsessed with his compulsions.’
Kalliant’s eyes, sharp as a whetted blade, flashed with a surge of unpleasantness, even though he hadn’t personally experienced it.
“Pour it.”
He then shook the glass in his hand.
Lactia flinched.
Startled by his intensity, she stepped back, her words faltering. “…You… you should know when to stop, Kalliant.”
Thump-thump.
Lactia’s face distorted severely with panic.
She was already overwhelmed by Kalliant’s aura and was deeply shaken.
Unable to watch any longer, Keira Stark offered a word of advice from the side.
“I don’t think there’s any benefit in continuing to cause a stir.”
Hearing her words, Kalliant pondered for a moment before placing his glass on the table and addressing Lactia.
“If you don’t have the guts, it’s better not to cross the line. Unless, of course, you want to see the tower you’ve so painstakingly built come crumbling down.”
