Chapter 93. Betrayal
My brain seemed unable to process the information flooding my eyes.
It was a gruesome sight, yet my only thought was, *’Only the lower half remains.’*
Kwoaaah!
Zombies began clambering over the debris of the Barrier that the Wild Boar had smashed through. Their feet seemed to get caught in the holes, making them flail helplessly, unable to reach me.
*’If they just circled around a bit, they could climb the stairs.’*
The Zombies were targeting me, but it felt like watching a comedy. I felt such a disconnect from reality that the thought of danger barely registered.
“Raid Leader!”
The Raid Members who had entered the Apartment rushed out in a group. They immediately began dealing with the Zombies.
I had explicitly told them not to come out.
Their absurd actions jolted my mind back to reality.
Some of the Zombie horde, unable to approach the Monster Wild Boar, had their Aggro drawn. The Zombie horde poured through the broken Barrier opening. It was as if the gates had been thrown open, and the Front Yard was filled with Zombies before I could even stop them.
“Why are you out here! I told you to stay inside. Don’t let yourselves get surrounded!”
“Raid Leader, we’ll help you!”
“We’re coming right away!”
What the hell? Had they all gone mad? The Raid Members’ actions were bizarre. They fought desperately against the Zombies, as if I were in grave danger.
“Why are they acting like this all of a sudden?”
Zombies began to encircle the Raid Members. Whether they realized it or not, they weren’t forming a proper formation or cooperating with each other. I couldn’t just stand by and watch, so I quickly leaped down the Barrier. However, Zombies rushed at me too, slowing my approach.
