Chapter 60. Joining
As usual, we woke up at dawn and began preparing to move.
After dinner and a meeting yesterday, we decided to establish our main base at our Apartment.
So, we were currently organizing things to bring the Purugia Group over and have them stay with us.
“Gayoung, are you happy? That you don’t have to leave home?”
“Yeah, I actually like it… I was a bit down during yesterday’s meeting because it seemed like their Apartment had more advantages.”
Gayoung apparently commuted from home all the way through university.
Perhaps that’s why she was so attached to her home.
When we concluded that moving our residence would be more beneficial, considering Farming range and travel time, the look of utter despair on her face was heartbreaking.
It was painful to watch, but with survival as our top priority, I couldn’t say anything to ease her burden, and she struggled in silence.
The reason the decision was overturned, however, was water.
The Purugia women had also discussed the housing issue and contacted us last night. Eunmi said that if the water supply were to be cut off, our place, being closer to the Han River, would be more advantageous for survival.
“Are you sure it’s okay for just me to go? I’m a little uneasy leaving you two alone.”
“We’re both pretty strong now. We can’t always stick together, can we? If you only think about the bad things, it’ll never end, so hurry up and go, Oppa. At least there are two of us, and you’re alone, so we’re more worried about you.”
