Chapter 380. Ultimate
There were two reasons to return to Kangwon National University.
First, to retrieve the remaining supplies.
Second, to scatter Lee Eunbyeol’s remains.
I should have gone much sooner, but things had been delayed.
“I slept in this house once before.”
“Wow! It’s such a nice house.”
Siyoung exclaimed as she stepped into the yard.
It was the house with the enormous bed.
There were no signs of anyone having come or gone since. After sweeping the surrounding area, I tidied up the interior. Since I had kept it so clean last time, there wasn’t much to do. A bit of dust had accumulated, but that was unavoidable.
“It’s a little early, but… should we have dinner first?”
“Yes, I’m starving after walking all day.”
This time, Siyoung and I had set out alone. It was to fulfill a promise I had made to her. While it couldn’t exactly be called a date, the important thing was that it was just the two of us.
Siyoung smiled brightly every time our eyes met throughout the day.
“It’s a shame,” I said.
“Huh? What is?”
“We should be eating delicious food, watching movies, going to a nice cafe… things like that.”
“I’m happy right now. This house is pretty, and the scenery on the way here was lovely too.”
Contrary to Siyoung’s words, the house interior was rather bare. At least the fireplace gave it a warm atmosphere. As for the scenery on the way, “desolate” would have been a more fitting description than “lovely.”
