Chapter 367. Mutant
We departed early in the morning and searched for a place to rest before evening.
Turning off the main road, we entered a mountain called Deungso Peak, which was dotted with numerous Pensions.
Ever since the great flood, it was always better to find shelter in high-rise buildings or elevated areas.
“Let’s stay here.”
“This isn’t a Pension, though?”
I had told the group that we should try to rest at a Pension if possible. My hope was that we might find Firewood there.
Yet, the house that stopped me this time seemed to be a regular family home.
“See that chimney over there?”
“Yes.”
“It’s a proper chimney. I think there might be a fireplace or a Brazier where we can light a fire.”
If it was a regular family home, a fireplace was more likely than a Brazier. While it was uncommon for Korean homes to have fireplaces, it wasn’t unheard of, especially in vacation homes like this in the Seoul suburbs.
“Wow… the yard is like a sports field.”
“And these Landscape Trees, I hear they’re incredibly expensive.”
It was a massive house, like a palace.
Standing in the spacious yard, I gazed at the beautiful two-story house that looked straight out of a fairy tale. Even the Garage and Storage Room buildings off to one side were quite charmingly built.
It looked like someone wealthy had lived there, or perhaps used it as a vacation home.
“Wow, you’re right. I’ve never seen a fireplace like this before.”
“Indeed. I’ll go check out the second floor.”
The interior was spotless, not a single Zombie in sight. I also found a large pile of Firewood in the huge Storage Room.
