Chapter 364. Expansion
A life like a worker by day, and a king by night.
I’d spent nearly half a month living incredibly busy days.
During the day, I was busy decorating the Village. We’d expanded the number of houses to six, and we were in the process of building a massive Barrier around the Village’s perimeter. We used large Logs, rocks, and iron plates torn from abandoned buildings. We secured a generous plot of land for the Village and were constructing a makeshift Barrier around it. Though it looked crude, we were trying to build it sturdy, but it was still a long way from completion.
At night, I took a different woman into my arms every day. The women had decided on a rotation to sleep together with me, and my opinion wasn’t reflected in that decision. To be precise, I hadn’t offered any opinion.
So now, I live alone in the first house. No, it became Schneider’s and my house. Though I don’t sleep alone. Every night, one of the group members stays in my house and spends the night with me. In fact, there have been times when there were two. The other group members scattered themselves among the remaining houses, but this is also temporary. We still plan to add more houses.
“Oh? You’re here early.”
“When you get old, you lose your morning sleep. The Elders have already finished their meal.”
“Please go on inside first. I’ll just grab a few things and join you.”
“Let’s do it together.”
Mister Dog Owner trudged over. The Elders of the neighborhood had willingly joined the Village and completed their relocation.
