As time passed, my anxiety grew.
The White Woman made no sound, nor did she emit any scent. Even Schneider couldn’t achieve such perfect stealth.
‘How long can she stay hidden?’
If she was hiding with an Ability, there had to be a time limit. No, there *must* be.
I wasn’t worried about being ambushed and injured myself. My companions’ safety was also temporarily secured, as Seonyoung and Gayoung could take turns deploying their Shields.
The real question was, how long could they keep that up? If we eventually gave up without finding any trace of her…
‘It would be like living with an Assassin at my back.’
She could just approach me while I slept and stab me in the neck with a bladed weapon. The White Woman’s Ability was clearly specialized for assassination.
Siyoung had definitely said she appeared out of nowhere. That’s why I’d thought of an Invisibility Ability and had them tie her up.
I looked back at the spot where the White Woman had been lying. Only the Rope used to bind her remained.
‘Was my response too complacent? Should I have just killed her immediately?’
The moment the woman concealed herself, I had swung my Baseball Bat at an incredibly fast speed. I hadn’t been complacent, nor had I failed to prepare. Regrets piled up, one after another.
Such thoughts were useless now. I shook my head, trying to clear it, and pondered if there was any way to find the woman.

“At this point, don’t you think she might not even be here anymore?” Sora asked, diligently spraying water through a small hole in the Shield. The stream of water hadn’t been blocked once until the entire floor was soaked. There was no sound of splashing water or footsteps.
