Chapter 314. Happy
Today, we kept moving without rest, even during the day. Everyone was overflowing with motivation after we reaped massive rewards from the Zombies we’d dragged out of Gongdeok Station’s underground.
We didn’t stop at Exit 4. Gongdeok Station’s underground was incredibly vast. We systematically checked all the other exits, slowly chipping away at the hordes of Zombies gathered beneath.
Finally, Schneider and I descended directly into the Subway Station and cleared out all the remaining Zombies before coming back up.
“But if all the fire shutters were down… does that mean people were still alive down there?”
“Probably. Or maybe it was to trap the Zombies inside.”
I didn’t know what tragedy, what desperation, had unfolded here. When we checked, it was just full of Zombies. Still, I had no intention of investigating further to find out what had happened.
To Siyoung’s question, I casually dismissed a few scenarios that naturally came to mind with a few words.
After completely clearing Gongdeok Station, we walked along the main road until evening. We passed Mapo Station and soon arrived at the Han River.
Mapo Bridge and Bamseom Island, which we had passed once before, remained unchanged.
“Wow. What on earth happened here to make it so desolate?” Seonyoung exclaimed, looking at the collapsed Apartment buildings.
Her reaction was similar to ours when we first came here.
“Mapo Bridge didn’t collapse, though?”
“Hehe. Indeed.”
Unlike last time, we descended to the walking path right next to the Han River and followed it.
