277. Quarrel
Once again, I stopped by the Department Store before dawn.
I was there to hunt Zombies with Kwon Chaeyoung, Kim Sohee, Lina, and the Skinny Woman.
*What’s that woman’s name?*
I didn’t even know Lina’s last name.
I figured it didn’t really matter.
It wasn’t like I’d ever need to call them separately anyway.
“Sohee?”
“Well…”
The other three were already waiting outside before I arrived, but Sohee was nowhere to be seen.
After quite a wait, Sohee finally trudged down the escalator.
“What? What happened to you?”
“I just wanted a change of pace.”
Sohee appeared with a shocking new look.
Her hair was gone in chunks, as if something had happened overnight.
Cut short as if gnawed by a rat, her hair looked somewhat pathetic.
It wasn’t a pretty short cut; it looked more like a child had clumsily hacked at it with Scissors.
In a way, she looked like a tragic heroine from a movie.
“Right. You look pretty. Let’s go.”
Something had clearly happened.
But Sohee didn’t seem to want to talk about it, so I didn’t ask further and we just left.
We arrived at a new zone and hunted Zombies today, similar to yesterday.
Sohee would use her Ability, I would deal with them, and the women would finish off some.
When the work was done, Lina pulled out a crumpled piece of paper from her pocket.
“Five.”
“Seven.”
Kwon Chaeyoung and Sohee went up to Lina and reported their contributions.
Lina recorded the details with a pen.
I found her quite meticulous.
“Your quota is quite lacking. You’ll have to work a bit harder today.”
