Her looks weren’t my type, but still.
What Lina had said to me was difficult to agree with from the start. Especially her claim that they had prior possession of the Department Store’s supplies. I didn’t understand why they were claiming ownership when all they did was stay trapped on the 9th floor. If anything, I was the one who rescued them.
I could even take the clothes she was wearing right now if I wanted to. Didn’t she know that?
‘Is this that saying? ‘They take my silence for weakness’…’
In other words, there was no reason for me to trade with them in the first place.
Yet, the reason I was holding back was Hwajung. Hwajung had decided to stay here even if we left. She said she was exactly the type of character who would die quickly if she wandered around in this world. For Hwajung to remain here and survive, she needed people to protect her. I liked Kwon Chaeyoung, and though it had only been a few days since Sohee joined us, she seemed decent too.
‘If I killed that woman in a fit of anger…’
If I were to kill, I’d have to kill them all. It was an extreme thought, but only then would I feel at ease.
“Is everyone in agreement?”
“Of course. We’re incredibly united.”
Lina answered confidently.
But not to my eyes. The other women hadn’t said or done anything specific, but their expressions and the atmosphere suggested otherwise. Especially Sohee, who was raising her middle finger from the very back.
