Chapter 226. Fishing
After finishing lunch, we left the Department Store, receiving a grand send-off from the people.
Everyone seemed genuinely sad to see me, Euna, and Schneider go.
We said our goodbyes as if we’d never see each other again.
Chwaaak.
Schneider sat at the bow, constantly peering into the water.
Was there something interesting to see in the water?
Euna was inside the boat’s cover, performing an Enchant.
Clutched carefully in her arms was her new weapon: a Rifle-type New Slingshot.
‘Turn left here…’
The Slingshot, which Euna had named Ticktick, was far more powerful than the Mass-produced Slingshots the Department Store residents used.
She had used her Ability to reinforce all its materials, and naturally, the Alchemists of the Department Store had poured their dedication into it as well.
Furthermore, the Blacksmiths had custom-made it to her body size.
‘The truly amazing thing was its semi-automatic reloading.’
Other Mass-produced Slingshots required the user to pull back and re-attach the rubber band after each shot.
They did have a reloading handle, but the tension of the rubber band was so strong that an average person had to step on the fixing frame at the muzzle with their foot and pull the handle with both hands.
This meant a considerable amount of time was needed for reloading after each shot.
And while reloading, one couldn’t move from their spot.
Euna’s Ticktick, however, used a powerful spring for easy reloading.
Handmade ammunition was also automatically fed from its dedicated Magazine.
