Chapter 196. Alliance
I was currently following a Zombie carrying a sketchbook.
On the last page of the sketchbook it had been flipping through, I could barely make out the two characters for ‘Invitation’. I’d inferred that the word ‘Invitation’ and the docile Zombie’s actions meant it wanted us to follow, and my curiosity had led me to do just that.
“There are Zombie Controllers, after all. Still, I can’t shake this uneasy feeling.”
“Yeah, I know…”
I was guessing someone with the Ability to control Zombies had sent this one as a messenger. At first, I’d thought, “If they have something to say, they should just come themselves.” But then I concluded that perhaps they had a reason to send a sketchbook, only for the message to get erased.
‘Ultimately, it’s an intelligence problem…’
The Zombie headed south. As we continued downwards, we soon came upon the Barbed Wire Fence set up by the Ark bastards.
The Zombie suddenly began crawling through a flowerbed connected to the Barbed Wire Fence of a building.
“Hmm… a crawl space. Of course, Barbed Wire Fences always have a crawl space.”
“Can we really follow it?”
“Curiosity killed the cat, right? Let’s go. Woman. You go first.”
“Huh? But there’s a Zombie there?”
“It won’t bite. Go on, quickly.”
“Hee-hee-hee-ing…”
When I nudged the Ark woman’s back with my Baseball Bat, she knelt and crouched in front of the crawl space. On the other side, the Zombie obligingly widened the opening for her. The woman awkwardly covered her buttocks with one hand and began to crawl through.
