Chapter 83
“Brother, what were those kids and that Chinese guy all about?”
Yeongjin lifted his sore arm to pick up his chopsticks.
Do-jae and Young-jin were eating at a secluded restaurant.
“They were being subjected to biological experiments. And that Chinese guy was the head of the experiment.”
“Gah. Cough.”
Hearing the terrifying story, Young-jin choked and hurriedly drank some water.
“Human experiments?”
“Yeah. It was truly horrific.”
Do-jae spoke as calmly as he could manage.
Otherwise, the image of the child killed by Li Xun’s kick would haunt him, making him want to find Li Xun right now and kill him.
“The kids made it back safely, right?”
“It wasn’t just one or two, but that many. Even in China, they couldn’t just sweep it under the rug.”
After defeating Li Xun, Dojae led the children down the mountain.
After that, he moved to a distant location and watched over the children and Li Xun.
Numerous police cars and ambulances arrived after passersby reported the incident. Only after confirming the children were safely handed over did he return to the mountain.
They gathered every last item left in the lab, collected the bodies, and only after setting the final fire could they descend.
“But why did you spare that Chinese guy?”
“There was no need to kill him. But without limbs, he won’t be able to live like he used to.”
Li Xun also disappeared in an ambulance with the children.
