Chapter 76
Travel by golem carriage went smoothly.
While it didn’t quite reach the maximum speed of a horse galloping at full tilt, it was significantly faster than traveling by regular carriage.
This was because horses couldn’t run continuously, but golems didn’t need rest.
It was the ultimate mode of transportation—no need to slow down, no need to feed it, and no need to worry about steering.
Compared to a carriage, the shaking was practically nonexistent. The golems perfectly performed the role of the car’s suspension by subtly pushing and pulling their arms.
Churrrr-
“Whoa. Dojae, how far have we gone?”
Sari opened the window and asked.
Dojae, seated on the driver’s seat, replied.
“We’re starting to see land now.”
After untying the horses and riding all night, they had crossed several mountains and the plains began to reappear.
“So we can rest now?”
“Yeah, once we’re completely down from the mountains, we’ll take a short break.”
Sari closed the window again with a sour expression.
No matter how comfortable the car was, being cooped up in a cramped space for over ten hours straight through the night was no picnic.
So once they descended the mountain, they planned to rest briefly and have a simple meal.
Tweet tweet.
“Ugh… I didn’t even do anything, but I’m exhausted!”
After another thirty minutes or so, they finally descended the mountain. Sari stretched her arms wide as she stepped out of the carriage.
