Chapter 172
“Dojae… I’m scared…”
Sari, scared out of her wits, clung tightly to Dojae’s side as they walked.
The two moved through the village, surrounded by a cold hostility unlike anything they’d ever experienced.
“Should I pull out the black scales again?”
“No! Then they’ll be charmed again! Everyone’s eyes are too murderous, but there’s no choice. To them, we must look like heretics.”
The dark elves of the village shot Dojae and Sari terrifying glances.
This stemmed from their suspicion that Dojae, who appeared as a High Elf, and Sari, a Grey Elf, had come to oppress them once more.
“This way…”
The guiding dark elf led them to a single house.
While Grey Elves generally lived in trees and in wooden houses, the Dark Elves lived in stone buildings.
Still, being elves attuned to nature, their homes were made of earth and stone rather than carved rock or chemically treated materials.
Knock knock.
“Elder, it’s Curtin. May I come in for a moment?”
The dark elf named Curtin removed his skull helmet.
His long black hair cascaded down, and indeed, he was a true elf—his appearance was exceptionally beautiful.
– Come in.
A voice of an elderly woman came from inside.
Opening the door, he entered to find a dark elf wearing a skull necklace, leaning on a staff and watering plants.
Kyaaah-.
“It’s fine.”
The plant that had been screaming quieted down when the elder poured water on it.
