Chapter 85 A New Beginning
At Namgung-woo’s words, Peng Ha-ryeong blinked, as if unsure if what she’d heard was real or what it even meant.
Had Namgung-woo ever sought her out so directly before? It was always Peng Ha-ryeong who approached him. Namgung-woo would never outright refuse, but he always maintained a subtle distance. She had always believed it was her own responsibility to close that gap.
As Peng Ha-ryeong remained blank, making no response, Namgung-woo spoke again.
“This is important. Once my conversation with Young Lady Zhuge is finished, I’d like you to come.”
“Yes, yes, of course!”
Peng Ha-ryeong sprang to her feet, answering in a loud voice. It was almost a shriek or a battle cry.
“I can do it right now! Right, Seon-a?”
Peng Ha-ryeong cast an eager glance at Zhuge Seon-a, seeking her agreement. Overwhelmed by Peng Ha-ryeong’s intensity, Zhuge Seon-a nodded, looking flustered.
“Seon-a, I’m sorry, let’s pick up our conversation later.”
Peng Ha-ryeong quickly scurried over to Namgung-woo.
At that, Zhuge Seon-a also shot up. It was all well and good that she had pushed her chair back with such force, but as soon as two pairs of eyes turned to her, Zhuge Seon-a immediately shrank back. Still, she managed to pluck up her courage and stammer out.
