Song Chae-ji had parted ways midway, promising to meet again someday, as they headed for Hengshan, nestled beyond the Taihang Mountains that embraced the western side of Hebei. They also left a message for Namgung-woo, urging him to visit Hengshan, as Yang So-dang wished to see him.
“Are you truly certain you don’t need to go?” Namgung-woo asked Song U-jeol after seeing Song Chae-ji and Eulju True Man off to the Hengshan Sect.
Originally, the two had maintained a completely formal relationship, but after Song U-jeol joined the Azure Sky Unit, Namgung-woo had switched to using informal speech, adopting a semi-formal tone.
Song U-jeol replied with an awkward expression. “I’ve already left my clan, so going back now would only make things uncomfortable. I plan to visit my elder brother separately.”
