Chapter 157 The Sectless
As Namgung-woo had said, the inn had plenty of rooms available.
The innkeeper, who had been disheartened, thinking his business would be a bust today, beamed with delight when a total of thirty-nine people—the thirty-six members of the Azure Sky Unit, plus the guest martial artists Song Chae-ji, Zhuge Seon-a, and Mun Se-gang—streamed in. He personally stepped forward, replacing the inn attendant, to guide them to their seats.
Around Namgung-woo’s round table sat five individuals: Mun Se-gang, who had suddenly appeared and claimed a seat; Geumsin, who had given him an excuse to strike up a conversation by claiming they were old acquaintances; and Peng Ha-ryeong and Zhuge Seon-a, who always stood faithfully by Namgung-woo’s sides.
Mun Se-gang hadn’t just impulsively joined them because he was glad to see a familiar face from Luoyang. His connection with Geumsin was far too shallow for that. Even the excuse of being “old acquaintances” was merely that—they knew each other’s faces, nothing more, nothing less.
Rather than immediately pressing for answers, Namgung-woo moved with leisure. Only after ordering food and exchanging names did he subtly open the conversation.
“I’ve heard the name True Martial Dragon a few times. They say his skill is extraordinary.”
“Haha, well, I’m no longer the True Martial Dragon, but… hearing such words from the Great Hero Azure Sword Emperor makes me feel a bit awkward.”
